Registration extended until 20 March

27 January 2022

Due to the pandemic, the registration for the Helsinki International Ballet Competition has been extended until 20 March 2022. The selected participants will be nominated by 31 March 2022.

The health and safety of our participants is our priority. We want to support the applicants and provide more time for preparations. By extending the registration period, we aim to ensure that as many dancers as possible have the opportunity to apply to the competition.

The next competition will take place at the Finnish National Ballet from 30 May to 6 June 2022. The Helsinki International Ballet Competition, founded by Professor and prima ballerina Doris Laine-Almi (1931–2018) in 1984, is one of the world’s most highly regarded international ballet competitions. Organized approximately every four years, the competition has served as a launchpad for the careers of several leading international dancers.
